A few questions about the new MX-5

Hi, I’m thinking about buying a convertible as a new vehicle in winter (for the coming spring). Due to the price/performance, only two are actually in question: Mini Cooper Cabrio Mazda MX-5 with steel roof I’m not yet a danger, but I’m going to make it in the foreseeable future. For me, only the 2-litre models are in question: which is more suitable for everyday use and long-distance travel? To what extent does the MX-5 pay for Comfort due to the Billstein chassis? And vice versa, how much sportiness does e r with the standard chassis? What I don’t like at all are the MX-5, with which a child’s head fits into the wheel box. Are these only the 1.8l variants or is the 2l-5 course just as low/high? I would like to have a convertible, with which I can also ride 800km on holiday (small trunk is aware, that is no problem), without having a disc incident afterwards. Therefore I tend to the Recaro seats as well. What is your opinion on the topic? Which would do you prefer under the requirements? For me the steel roof speaks above all for the MX-5, because I have no fixed parking space, skilful because a garage.
