Dear Forum, I ordered my vehicle from Mercedes Schmolck in Emmendingen for the service B5 on 29.12.2014 and immediately paid the final invoice amount of € 581.99. A short time later I received a new invoice, dated 30.12.2014, over € 692.57. It turned out that the accounting of Mercedes Emmendingen had forgotten to charge the VAT for the first invoice. I did not pay the amount, as I did not pay the invoice. It was only three weeks later that an invoice, dated 19.01.2015, was sent to me exclusively via the outstanding value added tax amount of over €110.58. At my request that the branch show itself kulant at the next service, I received no answer. Rather, I was threatened with the lawyer if I did not pay the outstanding value added tax under a week. My question to the forum is therefore: must I be legal as a private customer pay the outstanding VAT amount or is this clearly a mistake of the branch office? Thank you
