Hello guys, I’m new here 🙂 I work 5 times a week, i.e. working days, as a pizza supplier. Therefore I usually have to drive short distances of 3-5 km. In the day I drive a total of about 100 km. If I drive with my own car, I get 20 cents per km (0.2 euros). That makes at 100 km, 20 euros a day. I currently drive with the company car. A Peugeot 106. Since I always have to refuel about 10 euros a day, which consumes about 7 liters per 100 km I think. The car runs for 2 years without problems and is already at 190000 km. The boss meant he tried many cars but Peugeot is not to be broken. Now my question: If I would drive with my own car I would have to refuel myself but would still have 10 euros profit a day because I get 10 euros but 20 euros for the km. That’s about 220 euros more per month. Is that worth it? (I have to calculate possible repairs, insurance and taxes) And would you also recommend me the Peugeot 106 or do you know a car? that’s even better for the job? I’ve heard about the Japanese cars being able to withstand a lot more. It’s important to me that the car is cheap (500 – 1000 euros, in case of an emergency also up to 1500 euros), consumes little (best still less than 7 liters), and survives as long as possible the hardships of pizza driving. What would you recommend me?
