Hello, first something about the car. Corolla E12 with 1.6 petrol engine EZ 08/2004 119000km I bought the car with 92tkm in April 2016, until summer 2017 the car ran perfectly. There for the first time the P0012 (nock shaft adjustment – too late) appeared, but otherwise there was no indication of any problems. I first went out of wrong alarm and deleted the MKL. In the last 3 months the error then showed up again 3 times and the last time again disappeared by itself. at the engine rarely a kind of short jerker in the range of 2000-3000rpm. As if it would not ignite briefly. This jerker is not reproducible and the engine otherwise makes a good impression. Otherwise runs clean, stable in idle and has full power. Spark plugs are due in 1tkm lt. plan. A Toyota workshop then operated again rough troubleshooting and could find nothing. Further troubleshooting would become quite expensive. My questions now, someone has experienced ng with the P0012? The Toyota VVTi is actually considered to be very inconspicuous, could find almost nothing in the net. I want to drive the Corolla further, he got fresh TÜV last week and up to the 3rd synchronous ring the condition is very good. How wirtschaltich is a repair (about 500€-150€ rep. cost)? Should I fix it or give it to the export and buy another car. If there was a 98-accord in mind… look forward to answers, thank you.
