Hi, I’m just getting black: I’m currently in Australia and I just bought a Subaru Forester BJ. 99 (a very usual vehicle here) with 230000km (here also normal), together with 2 other acquaintances. Salesman quite nice, maintenance evidence available, vehicle in good condition (as far as I could judge – engine dry, belt freshly changed, good tires etc.). Of course with test drive. Now I’m on my first left in the crowded city traffic. At the start (forward and backward) and hit tyres cracks and “knubbelts” it from the front. At the test drive it wasn’t like that (perhaps engine too cold or something?) However, I thought I had noticed the cracking while parking in the parking garage, but the owner at the time drove. I asked my co-purchaser briefly, but the (then also I) pushed it on the driver, who had not completely kicked the clutch (probably around the too k What can that be? Wheel bearings? Drive shaft? I’m in a hostel, have the original jack and the tool (including the wheel nuts). I want to pick up the box now and make visual inspection, but unfortunately have no stage or shaft. I (we) have little money for the repair. I would look at the part and try to take it into my own hands, even give videos. What do you say? At higher speeds you don’t notice anything about it. Thanks already…
