Switching vending machines while you’re driving?

In another thread here it was commented that switching a machine during the ride could be harmful to the transmission. This is new to me. Our Camry – like many other machines – has a switching lane that allows N, 2, and L to insert everything during the ride. Depending on the speed, of course, the switching process from N back to D can burden the clutch parts more than a switching process in the stand. the Americans of Popular Mechanics confirm. Are you in agreement or not with the conclusion?
