My outback has annoyed me for a long time with chassis noises. Some with flaps, some with clapping when starting. The flap is now apparently switched off, the fault was broken shock absorbers. With the new ones is now calm. Now (about a week after the swap) the clapping appears again when starting. Every time you slow down a little more firmly, there is a dull clack when starting. If you let the car roll to a standstill (or slow down only with respect to the sea) this remains out. before the shock absorber exchange still a gun (suspension of the dampers) at the start, there is only this cracking left. Therefore, I suspect it must be a component that absorbs the thrust and pull forces while driving. Any ideas? Greetings, Zeph
