Dear Subaru friends, so far I am a passionate Volvo driver (V 70 2.4/140 hp) but wants to buy me a four-wheeler in private next year. The XC 70 lures me with a diesel engine (163 hp), 2nd commonrail generation, so overall very economical, which should also be contributed by the Haldex coupling. Unfortunately, at the moment there is no Euro 4. Subaru attracts me something if the cheaper pricing and 3 years full warranty. Unfortunately, only the petrol variant is available. This is probably due to the permanent all-wheel drive. Maybe the outback riders could tell me their average consumption, which naturally depends very much on individual aspects. I would also like to know something about susceptibility chassis, suspension (too hard?), body and engine. What about the kulanz behavior after the end of the 3 years? Had already been in contact with some dealers in the past. They wanted to offer me for my Volvo (first registration March 2002, 50,000 km, no accident) but no more than 20,000 euros. However, the resulting loss in value seems so high in view of the available top equipment, that I would finally be back at the Volvo new car price for an XC 70, compared to the Subaru Outback 2.4 i with all possible extras. Honest recommendation from you? When will Euro 4 come? Greeting from the “apostate” Olv
