According to Dagens Industri, S60 and V60 will replace today’s models S40 and V50. It is expected that the V50 (currently the best-selling model according to DI) will be phased out in 2011, so that there is a overlap where V60 and V50 (as well as S40 and S60) will be sold in parallel. S60/V60 is supposed to be realized on a completely new platform, which is part of “Volvo’s new platform strategy”.
