Hello people 2 days ago I finally read what was clear to me as a Bosch employee ( I can’t name reasons here ) at the Passat Forum (http://www.passat3b.com/forum/dates/Forum1/HTML/004052.html ). There is some car that has a similar air mass meter like my VW TDI ( VW price approx. 280 €). I found out in this list: ( http://vw.golz.info/download/LMM.htm ) This morning I bought an air mass meter with the number A 611 094 00 4 8 for 71 €. With Mercedes one does not need to change the whole pipe and “only” changes the LMM ( 2 screws next to the plug ). The LMM is from Pierburg and has the same contact plug (including the inner plastic noses, which act like a key ). Only the grid is not sitting as with the VW on the longitudinal side, but at the narrow end. This does not disturb however when contacting in any way, since the plug through the Mercedes grid ( over which it slips ) properly Since this morning I drive in my Bora TDI, Bj 02/2000, AJM, 85 kw a Mercedes LMM from Pierburg for absolutely 71 € . My car is running great and the fuel consumption for today was 6.4 liters. The values of the Mercedes LMM compared to the VW LMM (voltage / measured air volume ) can be read in the Passatforum. There one controlled the values among others on the VW diagnostic device ….. Purchase quickly before Mercedes weathers a business here….
