Yesterday with my Volvo CX90 with detachable trailer coupling (which I mounted about 1 year ago and have not taken off since) I lost an empty horse trailer with full drive (approx. 60 kmh) because the ball head of the trailer coupling (!!!) was detached from the Volvo. Thank God the trailer was completely empty and no other road user was harmed. The horse trailer was about 3 km on the Volvo, on free drive, without any abnormality, and unnoticed. ger drove right into the road ditch, overturned and stayed on the roof. Since I immediately had to mount the trailer coupling when buying the Volvo 2 years ago and since that time about 1 times a week used it mostly for horse transport, it is completely unclear to me how the removable trailer coupling can be removed without more snow in full drive (!!!). Who can help me further or has had similar experience?
