Hello all, I would like to buy a new car for the next 3-6 months. I would like a convertible hardtop or a coupe with 300+ hp, but these criteria are not immovable. My current candidates are * Chevrolet Camaro Cheapest car, however, I am a little worried about the insurance costs and other maintenance. I also don’t know if the car is adapted to European conditions (permanently over 200 km/h). * BMW z4 Relatively cheap, but also quite small. It’s a hardtop, isn’t it? * Scirocco R Relatively weak engine and pretty Prolo image. Very cheap and nice for that * Mitsubishi Evolution Strong engine and pricey in the midfield. However, also a Prolo image * Mercedes E-Class Coupe is very nice, convertible unfortunately softtop. Also the most expensive car, almost 50% more expensive than Camaro & S Cirocco * Audi S5 Just the same as E-Class My financial framework would be 50k down payment, the (possibly existing) rest I would finance. Monthly I don’t want to spend more than 700 EUR on the car — including maintenance, insurance, taxes etc. Fuel costs are relatively humane, as I don’t drive more than 15-20tkm a year. Can you give me a few tips on which car you would buy (and why)? In particular, I am very tempted by the Camaro because of its Prei have I overlooked costs? Or are the 400hp in the Camaro not to be compared with the 400hp in e.g. an M3 but rather to the 250 in the Scirocco? Many greetings a9 Edit: For me it is very important to have as good safety equipment as possible.
