Hello, my beloved Passat 35i has to be sent slowly but surely into retirement, because the problems in old age are now increasing. Therefore, I am looking for a successor, who should be just as reliable, as the good old Passat, from which I was already a bit spoiled in this regard. We are looking for a station wagon, which should accompany me reliably over the next (10) years. Due to the annual driving performance of approx. 15000km and before After a little research, I found that a larger station wagon in the direction of Mondeo, C5, Mazda 6 or something like that would probably be quite expensive in the maintenance. The petrol engines are already swallowing a lot due to the size. Therefore, I tend to buy a compact one now and get a trailer for larger transports. I think that would be the more economical choice in the longer term. So we are looking for: Compact station wagon, denno ch spacious, petrol, from c. 2007/2008 with approx. 130tkm to have maybe another 10 years in about fun at the car. I don’t really need a lot of frills, the only thing I would like to have would be the comfort of a seat heating. After a little research the candidates Focus MK2 and Astra H are mentioned again and again, which should probably be very solid. Visually would appeal to me a Octavia II, however, these are rather rare and the motor selection due to the Tsi Gesc Which cars would still be in question? What about the Astra J (1.4T) in terms of reliability? Can it keep up with the predecessor? Thank you for your help!
