Hello people, in the following I hope for help through your competence and experience! I have got a Simson S51 in parts with a “snow find” in my hands and have already partly restored it. Currently the cabling is on and thus also the alignment of the necessary components to 6V or 12V. Since there are repeated statements in countless forums and posts I want to create clarity for me now and hopefully also other hobbyists! g to this thread you will find a photo of my ignition / generator. I would have liked to know if this is a 6V or 12V system!? I would also like to clarify if it is a 12V system, for example, which components have to be installed with a 12V voltage? 12V ignition therefore also uses 12V lamps, 12V flashers, 12V battery, 12V ignition coil?
