My XC90 (2017) is currently in the Volvo workshop for tour-like maintenance. At the time of the delivery I had stated that the sliding roof causes problems. It only opens very slowly and the engine sounds very tormented. It’s a bit better to do so. My hope that maybe only a little too “lubricated” has been shattered today: According to Master, the whole sliding roof has to be exposed or expanded, since the mechanic has to reach the Bowden trains and the rail system. To do so, the sky has to be dismantled. Day task –> Costs around the 3,000,- Euro. It’s probably the Bowden trains completely “dry” and worn out, so that the mobility is no longer given. That’s probably what happens, among other things, when you use the sliding roof WENIG for details. Now I ask myself: what’s little? I’m already using it regularly in the summer. Also, general weather conditions incl. Tauwasser and triggering for such problems were eventually considered. However, the service has never been evaluated in the field?
