I bought an XJ 600 51J. The motorcycle had been standing for many years and had no sparks. I changed the CDI ignition box and the spark is there. I disassembled the carburettors, cleaned them and obviously compared the throttle flaps. The idle screw in the 4th carburettor can neither be turned in nor out, I left it that way. I connected the motorcycle with an autobattarie, the connection screwed properly. I have the feeling that the starter pulls so much Srom that it is no longer enough for the ignition spark. It doesn’t stop and the valve play is fine. The engine then makes noises as if a bird is sitting in it and has in the stationary gas from time to time to misignite.
