XVS 1100 – 2.Gang spings out

Hello, my second gear jumps out. Before I now cut the engine halves I wanted to ask which spring is meant exactly, if you say that after the switching process the shift forks are not kept enough in their position. Where does this spring sit? Inside or outside of the engine housing. Does anyone have a photo? And second question, when turning the engine to see what the gear teeth look like it happened to me that a piston has tilted and is now lying up, I the engine but Is that maybe the starter free run that is blocking?
