Hey guys, I need your help now too. I’m looking for a compact car for the way to work. One route is 40km, of which about 50% is motorway and 50% is highway. The car is practically only used for the way to work and maybe for shopping or something. So would appreciate the annual driving performance at about 25k km. I don’t care if it’s a diesel or petrol, it’s all about having as cheap a cost as possible. So here’s my requirements in the K urzform: – compact car (thought so to the golf class) – 6-7k Euro purchase price (if there is something super great for 8k, that would be ok, in principle cheaper but of course better) – age I thought so about ~5 years, but is also not carved in stone, is mainly about that the car is reliable, not too expensive and also lasts a few years – 25k km a year (of which an estimated 10k highway, 10k highway and 5k mixed city/country/motorway or so) – about 100 HP ( whether it’s 90 or 116 is not sooo decisive, just nothing with 60 hp and nothing with 150+hp) – reliable – as low as possible total costs (i.e. purchase price and annual costs for fuel/tax/insurance) – diesel or gasoline both possible, depending on what is cheaper in the specific case What would you recommend to me? I’m not a car romantic, so it’s really only about a solid car with reasonable costs. Look and name are not so important to me either.
