Hello dear people, nice eyes with a used type R. Both of them hardly take anything as a motor, so you have the choice. The following questions I would have read, read a lot here and there rarely came a few comments, therefore here once concentrated. 1. I would be interested in the quality level and the reliability of the type R. So do you have relatively many defects within say 150t km? Or is the type R also a reliable colleague? Is there a difference between Is the FK2R’s predecessor and the FK8 in this respect? The omission of the oil thermometer (or the calculation of the oil temp) e.g. happened as an example in the FK8. What about the general reliability and quality, have they also slowed down? 2.And then another question: How do both trunks fall out, with the newer FK8 there is an indication from the ADAC (https://www.adac.de/…/Honda_Civic_Type_R_GT.pdf), is there such a thing from the predecessor? 3. the engine hood at the FK8 from the driver’s seat (clear, depends on the body length as well and on the seat setting)? And with the FK2R probably not, I guess. Is that different with the current one? 4. Did you have many repairs / angers? E.g. because you ruin the front spoiler in everyday life? Maybe it turns out here, too, that the old or current type R is better in this respect. Thank you, guys! Margay
