Envy factor Phaeton?

Gruezi! After I took the first place last weekend in my life behind the noble steering wheel of a Phaeton 3.2 and drove something through the North German plain I would like to tell my experiences – rather not technical – nature. I noticed very much that a Phaeton in Hamburg and surroundings and of course in smaller villages is still very noticeable. Sometimes I believed that some people thought when looking: Stop a passat, – no that can’t be ! But what then? You can’t speak of an all-world car either in my eyes. Image factor: Without question very high. Even some acquaintances who drive Mercedes otherwise were spontaneously enthusiastic. But also skeptical if you can drive with such a thing with the customer. I mean: Anyway!! Without that I can report there also from the Swiss perspective that it is not particularly important, what I drive rather like! An extremely pleasant attitude of my BALD countrymen ! Unfortunately, exactly this attitude in Germany is somewhat underrepresented as I had to notice to my sorrow. From appalling glances, some strange sayings at the gas station “always in”?????? What did he mean only????…. At a meeting I was asked if I could afford to drive such a thing…. Everything very unpleasant. That has clouded my joy with the vehicle a bit. I just made it a habit to look at the people IN THE car and not on the sheet metal shell. Too bad that only rarely something positive came. But maybe some people were just jealous? It would be nice if some would express themselves here on this topic! Almbauer
