Incident – What do I have to reckon with?

Hello! I had an accident on the highway on the last weekend. I drove in with my car (Opel Astra H – Kombi) someone in the back. My front man had completed a full braking, because the traffic in front of him staggered and I could not avoid in time. I have to blame for the accident. Another person, who also could not avoid, drove in the back. The right side of the vehicle front is completely deformed or broken. The rear flap is closed and partly damaged. Now I have reported the accident to my insurance (ADAC-Autoversicherung), they also immediately commissioned an expert. In his report he has determined that the repair costs of my car amount to approx. 10.100 €. The replacement value of the car amounts to 8,950 €. So this is an economic total damage. The expert has at the same time put the car into a residual value evil at the same time In order to determine the residual value. This amount is according to the last bid 3,240 €. I am fully cascade insured (SB 300 Euro) and if it is relevant: The car was financed with a loan. Now my questions: 1. Can the insurance or the evaluator put the car into a residual value exchange, for the purpose of determining the residual value, and do I have to accept the price achieved there? I could also sell it myself, right? 2. Am I correctly in the assumption that I now have the Di fferenz between WBW and RW, i.e. 8,950 € MINUS 3,240 € = approx. 5.710 € will be paid out by the insurance company? If no, which calculation basis is applied here or with what amount can I expect? The insurance company has not been very interested in information (also because the accident is very young). I also drove for almost 25 years accident-free and had this first accident now. That’s why I don’t really know the matter of car insurance. I would therefore be very pleased if I could get some suggestions or answers from you… Greeting, musti
