Hello ! This is my first topic here, although I’ve been rummaging around a bit, but please forgive me if I need some information. To the topic : Have seriously fallen in love with the R8. The car is just fun, the design, the acceleration, the Wow effect. For a few weeks I’ve been looking for a suitable R8 for me in the area around the 50k – 60k€, from 1st or 2nd hand, up to max 100k kilometers, no Russian import, BJ 2008-2010, checkbook provided The more I deal with the topic, the more it seems to me that the R8 is a real bitch child. 1) R-Tronic: Is it really that vulnerable? One reads in the best case of a defective “actuator” 2) the pressure storage hydraulic pump 3) the engine? What’s going on? Some models already have an ATM with 60k kilometers, some of them already. Running speeds over 100k km are rarely 4) moreover, a lot of electronic problems 5) oil pipes and enormous oil consumption 6) what about the Magnetic Ride ? best a R8 without looking, or ? … I like to continue the list the more I read, the more I think about whether the R8 is really a reliable vehicle. And if I can/will pay myself any follow-up costs. I’m still infatuated in the R8 but so slowly comes up a little “realistic” frustration. Can you maybe take it away from me?
