Hello, I would like to ask you for your assessments or even experience on the following matter: Since this week I know that I am not allowed to drive a car because of a serious eye disease. Never again. I bought a new car only in August or financed it through the Volkswagen bank. Duration 4 years, monthly rate and at the end the three known options (return, trigger or continue to finance). At this time I also did not have the touch With the loan agreement I have concluded a “credit protection letter”. However, this only starts if one has become incapacitated due to an illness – and then only for the duration of 12 months. However, I am not incapacitated yet, thank God. From your point of view, it makes sense to look for a conversation with the VW Bank and/or the dealer in order to discuss an extraordinary restitution. alternatively, I can of course try to transfer the existing financing contract to another person. But it is certainly not so easy to find someone. Maybe someone has already heard of such a case or had their own experience (whereof of course I do not wish anyone to get sick !!!) … ?! Thank you in advance and best regards Udo
