Hello dear Motor-Talkler, I have been driving my grandfather’s second car exclusively for a few years now. He is both a holder and a policyholder. The liability insurance now has SF10, but the contributions are very high. In the future, I also plan to purchase my own car, whereby I have not yet completed a car insurance and therefore would actually start with SF0. My plan for optimizing the situation is the following: I plan a car insurance plan. This means that there is a special right to cancel the current insurance policy. With the registration to me (currently, for example, the HUK24) I would take out my own car insurance and transfer the previous class of damage freedom of the contract for the affected car from my grandfather to me (in the acute case at least SF7 because I only have the driver’s license under 8 years). Is this procedure so feasible? The HUK24 also allows the transfer of discounts from grandparents to grandchildren. Thank you in advance for your answers! Greetings, namX
