Hello, I’m just changing my system and actually wanted to keep my Sub ESX-SXB 12, but well, if it’s already conversion, then completely. I always liked it. However, I want to have the system more tonal than powerful. Of course it should also press, but priority is sound. I wanted to ask now if such a closed housing is really better tonal than BR. But what exactly does that mean exactly then? The only real experiences n so far I have heard with my sub (as already mentioned, found the really good) and a BP box of Syrings (presses like stupid, but well, that wasn’t mine). If I now compare my sub, for example, with a “small” of JL like 12W1v2, or an audio system Xion 10G in closed housing (both lie so around 200 €, which would lie in my price frame), would one really hear the “better sound” or would pressure be lost?
