Hello all, I have a problem with my 2020 ́er Kia XCeed. 1.4l 140 TurboPS, running 15Tkm. Was a daily registration with 20km. So, the problem apparently exists only in heating automatic operation with switched off climate, i.e. warm air. Logically in the cold season. Mostly at the beginning when the warm air comes after 90° water temperature, rather it makes hardly sense for me to pull warm air, it smells strongly like burnt plastic I would think. It is so extreme that I have to open the window at first. What I have found when I try it out, if I don’t control the warm air in automatic mode without air conditioning on the ventilation exits in the middle (i.e. directly in the middle of the vehicle / passenger room) the smell is hardly noticeable or not at all. Conclusion, the smell is the most extreme when the warm air is blown into the footroom in automatic mode without air conditioning. What makes sense, because warm air rises. eb I wouldn’t be able to say. Now I don’t know if I’m just imagining this, but I guess it has something to do with the ventilation ducts towards the footroom. But can that be and what could be the cause? Now I have some clues like inverters, heat exchangers, heating converters spiral, electric heaters (if mine has the as Tsch. re-import at all), but don’t it always smell from every ventilation channel? Thank you for your suggestions and opinions .
