Hello guys, I have such a starter box with 12V battery, compressor and light from “Unitec” (exact name is “Power-Station Plus”, article no. 77901). Now it is unfortunately so that shortly after the warranty time the battery of the device has given up the mind. In the device is a standard battery 12V/17AH as it is used e.g. also for lawn tractors. So I bought a new one. After a short time also this was useless. The power station is usually used via the Socket with a small plug power supply with 12V DC/500mA charged. I measured once with the multimeter. My original plug power supply does not output 12V but the voltage fluctuates between 18,3 and 20,5 V DC. Can this be the reason that the batteries are constantly going over the Jordan? I mean it can’t be healthy for the charging electronics or the battery of the box that the plug power supply does not move insignificantly above the specified 12V. and you could measure the output voltage of your power supply, whether there are deviations? I then thought that in future I would simply charge the battery removed from the starter box with an external Ctek charger directly to the poles or replenish it via the Recond program. However, I have only the rather thick MXS 25 with a maximum charging current of 25A in stock here. According to Ctek’s info, the device is only available for batteries in de r size of 40-500Ah is suitable and is normally used on our car batteries or the batteries of our caravan. If I connect the Ctek to a larger car battery (normal 85Ah-lead battery) and the small 17Ah battery from the starter box simply by means of a bridge cable in parallel to this car battery or if I still run danger the 17Ah battery with the high charging current d I think that a direct connection of the large Ctek-LG to the small 17Ah battery is not an option. Thank you very much for helpful answers.
