Hello, my new Skoda Octavia has arrived at my EU car dealer and will be delivered by freight forwarder within the next 2 – 3 weeks. Now I have some questions about the change of vehicle. 1. So far I have a liability insurance. Today I was with my insurer and I have completed a comprehensive insurance for my Octavia within the scope of a change of vehicle. Insurance starts in the application August 1st. But if my car arrives and is registered on August 10th d, does the insurance only start on 10.08., right? 2. In the past I had indicated a collective garage as “regular parking space” (which was also true). Meanwhile my car is on the road. In the new application is still indicated collective garage. I forgot today to inform the insurance that the parking space has changed. Can the insurance with this “false statement” refuse a payment within the scope of the comprehensive payment or do I only have to pay the difference amount? But what I really have is an underground parking space at work. It’s not “nightly parking place” but “regular”. And I’m regularly at work… 3. I want to park my Punto with an acquaintance on the farm / shut down (there are always Africans coming by, who then buy the cars for export). If I unscrew the registration plates and register the car at the traffic office, am I free of any liability? 4. I want my old car at the Ve 5. What do I do afterwards? Tell the insurance company that my old car has been shut down (i.e. end of liability insurance) and my new one has been registered (i.e. start all inclusive)?? I hope that you can help me further. I will certainly also clarify ambiguities with my insurance, but on the spot I always forget half,
