Again and again I hear or read about accidents in which motorcyclists have been overlooked. see also here I have simply observed the road traffic carefully and analyzed potentially dangerous situations. I think the usual explanations like e.g. speed underestimated or not seen because are certainly too small the cause of many accidents! What is more and more noticeable to me lately is the limitation of the field of view of the car drivers by some Elche Cheap navigation devices from Aldi or similar which stick to the disc, next to it an organizer with notepad and maybe a mobile phone – from the mirror dangles then still some childish tand (especially with women/girls and kiddies popular). One should bear in mind that a motorcycle and driver in 20 meters distance can already be completely covered by a finger-sized object in the sight area of the driver! Just try it out! – Motorcyclists 100 km/h on the front road – it is overlooked in 25 meters distance = despite absolutely great reaction time of 0.7 seconds = impact with almost 100km/h Take a look around on the road, acquaintances and in your own car… Greeting Ben
