Hello, my Renault Clio II 1.2 16V, built in 2002, unfortunately no longer starts and I had to leave it 80 km away from home in a parking lot. I don’t know if it has to do with it: almost two years ago I had a broken crankshaft sensor. There was a separate forum post for that. It started a few days ago that he sometimes stopped starting (the starter turned on and on without the engine starting). I then tried it again a few minutes later and then It was normal again. However, it often went right away, so I hoped that the problem might not be so bad. Also during the rides there were no abnormalities with the engine (except just when starting). Once the engine started, but it took noticeably longer than usual after turning the key (perhaps 1 to 2 seconds). Today the engine started shortly after a journey of 20 km but unfortunately not at all, despite numerous attempts over several hours. n. At the first attempts it was still warm, at the last it was cold. Also the battery obviously still had enough charge to turn the starter. So it probably wasn’t on the battery either. Now I want to be prepared back to the parking lot and as well as possible to change something myself, so that it might then work again. Otherwise only towing remains. If you have ideas, what it could be and how to fix it, I am very happy about eur e Suggestions. Maybe change the 1.5 year old crankshaft sensor again? It shouldn’t be on a defective spark plug, because the engine should start with 3 of 4 spark plugs still reasonable, right? And it’s probably not on the ignition key either, because I tested the voltage of its battery and because the immobilizer only flashes when I try to start with the ignition key without a plugged-in battery. Thank you in advance for your tips!
