Opel would still be normal, but until then I didn’t have to fill anything between the oil changes at all. In addition, the immense smoke cloud disturbs at the start, if the car has stood for a long time. I guess it’s the valve shaft seals and after studying the contributions here, I had already run through them. But: The FOH now informed me that to change the valve shaft seals now the head has to go down – no longer as before only the camshafts out and secure the valves with compressed air! For this I was given about 1,200 euros in advance (probably net). That blows you, material value of the seals a few euros. The car has about 140,000 km on it and is now 10 years old. The following questions: – worth a repair? – there are workshops, which have the seals. change still according to the “old” method? – other hints (please none in the kind: drive ́continue so, 3 L are normal).
