Problems (before) Engine change

Good morning, everyone! I would like to change the engine (it’s a B5202S from 1996) in a 850er, because it brings inexplicably bad performance, needs a lot of oil (which I have already cleaned and changed everything ) and anyway the clutch is due. I have a very good used B5202S from a V70 I from 1998 and stand now before the problem that there is a difference to which I have not paid attention (see picture). The engine from the V70 I makes this with the secondary air so obviously somehow different. Can one of you give me some advice what I can do? Would really be a pity if it would fail to do so… Where does the connection in the valve cover actually go?! I always thought secondary air is blown into the vault so that the cat shaft becomes warm faster… First of all, it seemed to me closest to changing the valve cover. However, somehow the storage shells of the cam shaft are “drin” in the lid and they should probably have “accustomed” to the respective cam shaft after 200 – 300 thousand kilometers…
