Yesterday at around 21:00 o’clock on the highway (again) the following situation: Almost no more traffic and I drive with approx. 140 km/h constantly on the right lane – no vehicle behind me. Far ahead on the right lane a truck, in its wind shadow a Citroen C1. The Citroen follows the truck with constant speed and constant distance (estimated 60 m) .After some time I have unlocked, set the turn signal and pull to the left lane. 20m behind the Citroen pulls di There is a sudden (without blinker) in front of my bonnet (speed difference about 50 km/h). Heavy braking on my part – I didn’t even press the light horn before I was scared. After Citroen finally finished his overtaking with truck speed + 2 km/h, I am then also past. Driver of the Citroen: 30-35 years, with occupied child seat on the back bench. Congratulations. 🙁 One further exit I drove to the next petrol station, short time later t also the Citroen accidentally opened up at the tank. I then (really friendly) addressed the lady: “You also rely on the brakes of her backmen”. After she had understood what I was alluding to was your answer: “Why, they were still far away after all.” — I then said nothing more about it. I have observed that such driving maneuvers occur more strongly in the darkness and many people even look so briefly (or only once) in mirrors to register, THAT h inter they drive a car, but not how fast the participant moves. Do I just feel that way? I find this dangerous.
