Incomprehensiblely, the R172 only met this standard in the last year of construction, although the engines were also the same before. Unfortunately this leads to a massive fall in value of the Euro-5 models and to the fact that some people cannot use their car as intended. So almost everyone who is not directly On the one hand, a completely senseless harassment on the part of politics, on the other hand, but also a complete failure on the part of Mercedes to meet all the standards in the coming years as soon as technically possible. In the case of the petrol engines no other engine had actually been installed at all, so one could have created the Euro-6 standard many years earlier. But clearly, if the cars are now scrapped prematurely, new ones will be sold again.
