Golf VI vs Honda Civic 8 Gasoline

Hi all, I’m a novice driver and am currently looking for a used car in the compact class up to a maximum of 6000 €. This should be gasoline and I care about a small reperture vulnerability. It should also not be so expensive in the insurance. I am 1.94 m tall. The routes I will drive are about 80% city and 20% highway. Currently I am interested in the following models: Honda Civic 8th generation and Golf VI year of construction is 2008-2010. These cars like mi r is the most important in terms of interior and exterior, as well as engine selection: Honda 1.4 100ps or 1.8 140ps VTEC, Golf- 80ps or more 102ps, all pure vacuum cleaners(No TSI models due to problems with the control chain in these Bj) Honda has better equipment at a lower price, but what worries me is the view to the rear. How good can you really look back? Is it as bad as people say or is it just a matter of getting used to? In Golf I find very little 102ps models below 6000 Euro. If you feel undermotorized at 80ps and this is a problem, even if the car has a few years behind it (about 10) so it can be good that there are even less. Which of both models is cheaper in maintenance and just more suitable for beginners. I have heard that the 1.8 140ps at Honda and the 102ps 1.6 at Golf are particularly unproblematic and durable engines. bleme with the Honda (like Mazda e.g.)? Which car do you find better here and why? Thank you for your help.
