Hello together, so – here’s a little off-topic question… it’s about tool questions – for working on wheel frames.. I want to deal with hard soldering and now I’m faced with the question of what kind of soldering lamp or which burner I should use. In the main I want to solder (at first) a lot of small stuff hard soldering. So eyelets, and small parts on the frame – and so on.. So the first question here is the areas of application (of soldering or the classic soldering lamp): Up to which material Tärke I can solder with a “lötpen” (i.e. a miniature gas burner such as Proxon) and how fine parts can I solder with a burner (with 190 butane bottle)? You see – that this is about the question of how to get into the topic of Hartöten. And which fields of application best fit to which devices. To explain: The 190er are the typical small, blue camping gas cartridges; I have some of them here in the workshop. In addition: I have another soldering lam pe here. How far can I go with the soldering lamp – what can be soldered with the soldering lamp!? The current questions: Do you have experience? What do I have to pay attention to when buying? How much have you done with a classic soldering lamp already!? Speaking of: in the summer, a Rothenberger Hartloetgerät comes here for the greater work on frames – will tell you about it.
