I recently had a self-inflicted accident. The vehicle is fully covered. The “love” insurance sent an expert and as it is almost usual nowadays with old vehicles an economic total damage was made out of it. In figures the whole thing : Repair costs : 3800 incl. VAT. Replacement value : 3100 € residual value according to stock exchange : 2400 € figures want the thus only 400 € (da 300 € SB) I then presented the car today at my paint shop, who has After evaluating the vehicle / damage, he made me a binding offer of max. 2500-2700 € for the professional repair with invoice. The vehicle has been in my possession for 8 years and the replacement value is a joke. For 3100 € I get on the market a vehicle of the same year of construction and motorization but a vehicle with the full equipment and in the condition of maintenance was already very difficult at that time. Furthermore, in the last years Xenon headlights for over 1400 € incl. autom. light-width regulation (there was not so ex factory), a complete sports package (original manufacturer) for approx. 2000 € incl. painting, Winteralus 17″ approx. 1500 €, sport suspension 1500 € and sport exhaust 800 € retrofitted…. The expert did not care at all. In the opinion the vehicle is listed only with the “ex factory” delivered extras. What to do? – I read up to the replacement value the insurance must pay if proof of a professional repair ? Is that true ? – Think without RA nothing there or ?
