Good day, this week I bought a used SLK 200 (2/ 2014). Currently he has 17″ LMR with summer tires. Would like to drive the SLK also in winter and am in the process of ordering according to rims+tires. In the vehicle license 18″ with 225/40 and 245/35 are registered, but 17″ and also 16″ are also allowed according to the COC list. I have now three options: 1) 17″ summer tires leave so + 17″ LMR+Buy winter tires 2) 17″ summer tires leave so + 16″ LMR+Buy winter tires 3) 17″ Somme Have tires peel off and put on winter tyres + 18″ order again (for summer) Regardless of the price (whether 17″ or 18″ is marginal): what makes more sense in terms of driving comfort / safety? Have read several times for winter rather take smaller sizes (would mean option 2). On the other hand: 18″ with appropriate tyres should mean “more fun” in summer, or am I mistaken?
