Boxster GTS 4.0 Experience Report

On the occasion of a factory collection, I was able to drive this week a GTS 4.0 hand switch with 18-way seats on the circuit for about 25 laps in Leipzig. My impressions: – Very compact sports car with enough space up to about 195 cm. – Great sitting position, steering wheel and gear lever fall “in the hand”, the 18-way seats are worth every cent. – Material selection and workmanship were at top level. – Motor on: Sound was relatively restrained. I would have expected more. – Kup Now the engine makes a lot of music without shouting. Nice sound, but much more interesting are acceleration, elasticity and running behavior. – The acceleration would be better with double coupling, but takes away the charm of the original. I would always prefer the hand switch. – Elasticity: Large engine capacity, light car, punch without end. You have to experience this simply h aben. – Running behaviour: No vibrations, no disturbing noises, everything very harmonious. – Bodywork: If you drive over the curbs, the boxster is shaken properly. I rather recommend the Cayman, which I drove last year on the same track (GTS 4-cylinder). – Driving behaviour: Harmonious, animally fast, but without ESP I would have “lost” the boxster two times. I’m not a professional! My conclusion: 100% fun for reasonable money. t, but I value cars for myself after the “Grins per Euro” ranking: And that’s where the Boxster and a Cooper S works of the first generation are at the forefront. That the roof can be opened is a welcome entry. Have fun driving, Philipp
