Moin Moin dear people, since I searched by google back and forth about the topic which causes me a bit of building pain, I have registered here quite definitely and well I think you can help me. My question deals with the driving and rest periods. Since I am currently making an education as a professional driver (since last year August), I was taught by instruction for 4 weeks, however, I can not quite cope with the driving and rest times (though mentally). The driver told me again and again “If you don’t get 4 1/2 hours of driving time in 6 hours, then you have to take a half hour break.” Well, he may be right, I don’t doubt that, but usually you get 4 1/2 hours of driving time in 6 hours ALWAYS or where is my thinking error? And my example question about the 15 minutes / 30 minutes breaks would be: I drive 2 hours until I am at the customer’s, then take my 45 minutes break (due to loading times). I then have 4 1/2 hours driving time + 2 1/2 hours from the first 4 1/2 hours driving time I thank you for the exhausting reading of my question and would be happy about helpful tips etc. MfG Lars /edit -> Working time (Lenkzeit+Arbeitszeit) Working time = hammering up or saddle up etc.?!
