Hello, our C4 Grand Picasso, EZ. 12/2016, has been standing at the body builder since July after a self-inflicted accident. Repair is completed, but Citroen cannot deliver the installed steering gear. This should be replaced for safety reasons. The built-in steering gear is not supposed to exist at all. Several steering gears have been delivered on suspicion. The number on the steering gear is completely unknown to Citroen (according to the dealer who used the vehicle as Neuwa). This steering gear is also not available for the foreseeable future as a used part or in the accessories trade. We had the whole thing checked by a lawyer some time ago. Here it came out that we have no claims and that no manufacturer is obliged to supply any spare parts. Our bad luck if parts are not supplied. In this respect we could only wait for the delivery of the spare parts. The insurance offered us at the time In the meantime it has been established that the required part of Europe is not to be procured for the foreseeable future. This has also confirmed the insurance last days by e-mail. Question: How is the further procedure in such a case? The vehicle is not repairable for the foreseeable future. We already have to notify a specific date. When the vehicle is ready, asked. So far, there has been no answer from the insurance company on demand. We only hear: we have never had such a case before…..
