Servus people, had yesterday’s extreme case. The following problem: A customer of mine wanted to change batteries on his MAN L2000. He removed the old ones and wanted to wait until Monday with him because he didn’t have much time. Now comes,…. in the run away he noticed that the window on the passenger side was still open. Electric window lifter. Vehicle was standing outside so the window had to be closed. He took his battery car and thought he just hung the there between. Actually logical and no problem. Then he switched the poles in the hectic. He didn’t notice and got in, turned on the ignition to close the window, but there was nothing. Then white smoke came out under the cab. He ran to the battery box and immediately suspended everything. Now to the damage I could see immediately so to speak short diagnosis: starter line and B+ line to the alternator are scrap. Now the question to all MAN freaks, what do you mean What extent of this damage could still take? Was the only thing I could see on the fast. Next problem the vehicle should be sold and should as always not cost anything. Have no schematics for MAN but think that there is some defective. I am definitely looking forward to your answers. Thank you
