Hello together, at my BMW S 1000 RR (built in 2011, I noticed a strong ticking, which is very speed-dependent. As I stand, when the engine is running and I am idle, I hear a slight ticking. The sound comes from the front area of the engine, for example at the crushers. If I am standing gas, the ticking becomes faster, but is not so loud. However, as soon as I drive, especially in the lower gears (1nd, 2nd, 3rd gear), the ticking becomes significantly louder. The more I speed up, the more I speed up the ticking. In the higher gears (5th and 6th gears) the ticking is still present, but not as strong as in the low gears. Interestingly, the sound disappears immediately when I pull the clutch during the ride, at least not audible to me. As soon as I gas again, the ticking is immediately back. I suspect that the problem might be due to the towing levers or the camshaft. In addition to this, the sound becomes faster and more intense. And on my machine, the interference pipe flaps are knocked out in the front, which could also cause a flap. Now, my question to you: Could the noise actually come from the pull levers or the camshaft? Or could the triggered interference pipe flaps be the cause? Do you have any other ideas that could cause the ticking before the friendly takes the whole thing apart. Maybe something with the gearbox? I am grateful for any advice.
