Yes, I know it’s a little early on the subject. But I had a discussion with a colleague about means that can be used as antifreeze for the windscreen washing system. Is it true that you can simply add pure alcohol to the disinfected water without damaging the paint, plastic parts or other parts of the car? Which mixing ratio is advisable/possible? I have only experience with commercial antifreezes so far. h is there also alcohol, but in “decent” concentration. If anything, what advantages do these antifreeze products have from the trade compared to the use of pure alcohol? Are they in the end only expensive frills, which is not necessary at all, so one spends unnecessarily too much money?
