Hello. I want to buy an AC Cobra Replica in the USA and import it to Germany. I have already found a suitable vehicle for me. My problem: I have now also noticed that it is almost impossible for an AC Cobra Replica to get an H – license plate. After all, it is not a classic car. I have also read the other topics in this forum (e.g. removed H – license plate). My question: How can one allow such a vehicle in Germany, od It’s also about the fact that I don’t have to remodel the Cobra in such a way that the vehicle loses its character. So who knows what needs to be changed about the vehicle so that you can get it registered with a normal license plate. Or is there still a legal possibility (measurement clearance) to get an H license plate? I logically also asked the TÜV. For the vehicle According to TÜV, there is only one H – mark if the frame was older than 30 years and for 20 years no major technical changes were made. Actually logical. For conversion and normal approval could not give me information. Would have been determined in the individual report. Only I do not buy an AC Cobra in the USA, import it and get the vehicle not, or with huge conversion effort approved. Maybe someone here already has experience with it, or still has a few Tips. PS: I didn’t find a suitable vehicle here in Germany that already has an H – license plate. Vehicle data: AC Cobra Superformance 427sc, engine: Ford 402 cid V8 Roush, approx. 515 HP. Sidepipes.
