Dear people – I play with the idea of replacing the original oil tank of my Softail FXSTD Deuce from 2000 with an accessory oil tank. The concern is purely due to the look. Now it is clear that the OEM oil tank has 3 pipe. One serves the ventilation, one the oil return to the oil tank and one for the supply to the engine or the oil pump. With the original oil tank two pipes are supplied at the top (reduction and ventilation line). The Santee oil tank has four possible connections. And they’re all in the lower range. The question that arises: Is it completely irrelevant where I connect the three lines here or is it possible that some of these connections have a line on the inside, which still goes up. Just as it was the case with the older Evo oil tanks.
