Hello everyone, since I am often travelling privately and professionally in Austria by car and in the last two years alone certainly already over €1,000.- have left to the Alpine Republic, I would like to take a look at a kind of fine catalogue. What I know from a friend from Austria in advance is that the parking and also traffic penalties should generally be different from federal state to federal state. WEISS JEMAND EINE/MEHRE ONLINEQUEL/N (in which man nac ??? Especially the legislation in Vienna bothers me, more precisely the parking meter law. If you park wrong, you get a parking ticket with a warning fee of €21.-. Number one in time, is good. If not, one flutters a second over €58.- in the mailbox. So. The problem is however the following: Generally valid: €21.- BUT (so I was explained): The more you park wrong/longer than parking ticket/without parking ticket etc. the higher the penalty. So not the 21 Euro, s At some point (I say Pi times thumb) after 5x wrong parking to €21.- the penalty is raised to €54 etc… Since this has happened to me more often, I received a note with €85.- penalty recently, only because I have parked a quarter of an hour beyond the parking time of the parking ticket. How far the penalty can rise and when one is classified again at €21.- but nobody could tell me. Recently I was even at the Prater in Vienna, at the Magistrate department, to o o Even they couldn’t explain it to me exactly, from when how much is put up and from when you get “graded” again. I should read in the laws. Since this is hugely against the line, I would really like to read in the legal texts how exactly this is regulated – or if I am already known to them and I am only “sucked out”… ?! To the info by the way: In Vienna you need parking tickets to fill out yourself. It is only available in the “Trafiken” (tobacco and newspaper shops). Recently you can buy them from cigarette vending machines. Small PROBLEM on the edge: Trafiken close at 18:00 clock, parking tickets are required in the inner districts until 22:00 clock. If you don’t have parking tickets until 18:00 clock, you can park in the underground car park – partly up to €8 per hour. Lg
