Ducati 848 – a striking price difference between Ameriak and Europe. WARUUM?

The current list price of a Ducati 848 here in Croatia, where I am currently staying, is 124,900Kuna (HRK). According to the current exchange rate, this is €17,230,68 because the HRK has recently gained value. When I read a driving report about the Duc’ 848 on an American website, the high purchase price, which according to this website, is $12,995 in the USA, which is according to the current exchange rate 8,305,11€. I have lost my eyes. In America, the Ducati is MORE than the price of a Ducati 848 here in Croatia, where I am currently staying. half cheaper? I knew the car there is generally a bit cheaper, but that’s a shame to us Europeans! Since the phenomenon generally occurs with cars I hope now that someone can explain to me why this is so. One would expect that European products in America are even more unaffordable in the weak dollar. Moreover, there are still the transport costs. Are there even the same motorcycles sold there or are they min If it is worthwhile for European manufacturers to sell their products so cheaply, then I wonder how much they earn from selling in Europe. Someone once said they subsidized their products in the USA through the high list prices here. If that’s true, why are they doing this? Why are these things so expensive here? Are we Europeans such rich money bags? Can anyone who has any idea explain this to me?
