Hello, Almost everyone who has driven from Germany through Austria on the Inntal motorway already knows him. On one of Austria’s most frequented motorways, through the connection to the Brenner to Italy and the German border on the other side, he can be found. Much used highway of tousrists, trucks and all others. Of the Einhimschen often referred to as “air hundreds”, “emission hundreds” or even only briefly “IGL”. It is about the beautiful “100s” restriction. , which can be seen on the illuminated upper beam every few km. Underneath small written “IG-L”! According to the country Tyrol the hundred is always switched when the fine dust values are exceeded! However, almost no one can believe that anymore, or just not understand. Normally our highways are limited with 130km/h. Additional advantages according to the country: less noise, less consumption, less exhaust gases…… from own experience: When I drive up to the A.B. and see the red lighting already far away I get bad! In winter this 100 is always felt on. In case of rain or snow fall anyway, sometimes with the right reason = risk of slipping, visibility conditions….. In the night also 90%. Under the day when many cars drive sowiso. If you are lucky, then you can drive at noon until about 14.00 clock times free and the full speed The hundred is particularly annoying with completely free AB, if far and wide there is no return!!! When I drive 10 times AB is the 100s 9 times switched. Then comes the police: On many construction sites up and down the road the police lurks with the Rada device. Then it becomes really expensive, if one was at the “IGL” too fast and is pursued. To avoid any penalties one can sneak nice with 100km/h and that on the highway????? How do you get before, if you drive first on the highway in DE without speed limit and then you are forced to drive a 100? What do you think of the “100”? Have you been punished since you drove too fast at the 100s, if so how much? I am happy about your opinions. Thank you and best regards from Austria
