Moin! A question to the MAN mechanics! At our LF16 on MAN F2000E 14,254 (BJ.2001) we had the problem yesterday again that the rear axle differential did not open. We were stuck in the sand and got free again by means of longitudinal and transverse differential and with the support of a multi-purpose cable train. When switching back the control light for the rear axle differentials remained on and went out only after some time. In short, MAN 24h emergency service was in the yard a short time later. He then expanded and cleaned something (“was glued…” and reinstalled. Unfortunately, I had other things to do and could not follow exactly what was the cause. Fact is, we had the same thing before. Question: What could have been the cause? And above all: How can we do the whole thing? prevent?
